Improve your care skills with free eLearning modules
The free Healthy lifestyles – Brief Interventions
toolkit provides a suite of eLearning modules that cover pregnancy, early life and general population health. The training aims to reduce the prevalence of chronic disease and related harm by providing you with the skills to conduct brief interventions as part of routine care.
What the training includes
The modules in the Brief Interventions toolkit cover:
- introducing brief interventions for healthy lifestyles (prerequisite)
- smoking
- alcohol and other drugs
- nutrition and physical activity
- oral health.
The modules are designed so you can complete each one separately. This allows you to choose modules that best meet your client's needs.
The toolkit also provides the B.strong in Pregnancy and Early Life eLearning program.
his program has been designed to deliver pregnancy and early life interventions for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients to assist with:
- quitting smoking
- improving nutrition
- increasing physical activity.
